Service Engineer - Midlands/South West
The post presently held requires travelling without notice to any part of the British Isles and includes impromptu overnight stays, together with planned servicing of all types of inverters. As a Drives Engineer, I have gained considerable experience servicing and repairing various types of Both AC and DC drives both onsite and in the Varicon worklabs, with Vacon manufacturer training. The locations are many and varied, working at various water companies, lifts public and private, steelworks, dairies, other food firms, large ship loading cranes, including a fuel tank ship.
I have experience also of various types of UPS supply equipment and applications with Riello Manufacturer training; other makes as Siemens, GE and others I have repaired and serviced.
Estimating Engineer– LV Power Distribution, West Midlands
Wide knowledge of LV switchgear tendering principles together with knowledge of circuit protection and power distribution products.
Able to appraise customer documentation received by e-mail, post & fax including technical specifications covering electrical systems that are installed in complex buildings.
Knowledge of Power Quality products i.e. PFC and TVSS.Knowledge of factory built assemblies (FBAs) including the use of NWML/Ofgem and non-NWML/Ofgem approved meters for compliance with Building Regulations – Parts L2A and L2B.
Fully conversant with the latest BSI British Standards.
Successful liaison skills with internal and external customers giving technical assistance and advice.
A logical, methodical approach to problems.
Proficient IT skills using IBM Lotus Notes 6.5, Nuance PDF Create 5, MS-Office, MS-Windows 2000/XP, RightFax, Internet Explorer, AutoCAD 2004, Adobe Reader 8, MPS Advantage, Eaton MEM Project Tracking System, Electrika Eaton Electric version, Bid Manager, Autodesk Design Review 2010, DWG TrueView 2010, Sage 50 Accounts.
