NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor/Site Foreman, Electrician - Kent

Reactive Electrical Maintenance and installation for Various Clients such as ATS Euromaster Tyres, The Wolseley Group (Plumb Centre, Build Centre,......), Tesco Stores, BUPA Healthcare, and Aldi Stores.

PPM of Sunrise Senior Living and Craegmoor Healthcare Premises throughout Kent, East Sussex, London and Middlesex, which included PAT Testing, Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification including remedial works ensuring compliance.

Emergency Lighting Installation, Testing and Certification.

Installing Addressable Fire Alarm systems, including Testing and Certification.

Update Switchgear and Distribution Equipment as and when required

Monitor, review and process external NICEIC periodic inspection reports.

Answer technical support queries from other departments within the company.

Occasional calls to investigate problems with E.L.V systems.

Responding to 24 hour emergency call out.

Electrical Test Inspection engineer. - South

To carry out fixed wire tests for a Periodic Inspection Report (PIR) for the compliance division.

The tests were carried out in residential, retail, commercial, banking, utilities, transport and industrial environments.

Many being Blue Chip companies, Lloyds/TSB, Network Rail, National Grid, Clarks, Boots, Screwfix to name a few. All with different portfolio’s.

In addition to testing , remedial works which included replacing a three phase distribution board to a double socket outlet, these were replaced , being covered by an Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Works Certificate being issued by myself at the end of the works to which complied with the NICEIC institute.

To carry out diagnostic and fault finding if a problem occurred during the testing of a circuit.

Once on-site to carry out and make changes to generic risk assessment and method statement, thus making it site specific.

Work unsupervised and to make one’s own decision if a problem should occur, thus keeping all relevant persons informed i.e. client, supervisor/manager and helpdesk.

Responsible for Programmed Preventative Maintenance, timesheets, workload calendars mileage sheets, van stock records, expenses, vehicle maintenance and purchasing card.

Able to organise and motivate labour/contractors who are within my company.

Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the risk assessment process.

Able to correlate with all management.
