Job Description
- The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for installing and certifying
the electrical components of domestic grid-tied solar photovoltaic systems
including inverters, isolators, electricity meters and all associated cabling.
- The cabling often extends to the roof of the property so the candidate should be
comfortable working at heights.
- The role will also involve some general domestic electrical work ranging from
house re-wires & consumer unit changes to new circuits and accessories.
- There will also be some non-electrical work required – the applicant must be keen
to put their hands toward helping on the roof or helping construct and cement in
ground mounted solar PV systems, for example.
Areas for growth
The right candidate has the potential for growth within the business; team-leading
solar installations and working on new renewable energy projects.
Working hours
Work will usually be from 8am to 4pm on-site from Monday to Friday although there
will be the need for some flexibility to these working hours to allow projects to be
completed on schedule.
The Person
Time served electrician with experience in the domestic sector.

You will have experience of testing and certifying domestic electrical installations and minor works.
Salary will be in the region of £25,000 - £30,000
