PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Our client, a national Electrical Wholesaler requires an Internal- Specialist Control Gear Service Advisor based in Manchester.
· You will be dealing with customers via the telephone and email orders.
· You will need good communication & people skills.
You will be the internal point of contact for technical control gear enquiries. You will also deal with the day to day sales and orders of general installation products.
This role would suit someone from an electrical wholesale background that has a good understanding of control gear. Or someone who has been an installer looking for a change.
Training on the products will be given but a degree of technical understanding of control gear is required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide a consistently excellent level of personal service.
· Build and maintain successful partnerships with customers, colleagues and suppliers and focus on the achievement of long term customer loyalty.
· Apply the basic principles of margin management to generate profitable sales.
· Ensure that company and market information is exploited in order to develop and maximise profit opportunities.
· Contribute to the effective operation of the business through active participation in sales development and service activities and collaboration with customers, colleagues and suppliers – e.g. Promotions, Sales Counter events, new product launches, etc.
· Provide management with required reports, information and feedback to contribute to the effective planning and performance management of the business in agreed formats and within agreed timeframes.
· Maintain an awareness of Health & Safety policy and procedures and to highlight any non-conformance to management or the appropriate specialist function.
Qualifications, specific knowledge or experience required
· Specific technical, specialised or professional knowledge needed
Commercial awareness
Electrical product knowledge is advantageous
A sound understanding of electrical control gear and related products is required
· The minimum vocational/academic qualifications required
GCSE grades 1-3 in English and Maths or equivalent.
NVQs in Customer Service Level 2 or Telesales Level 2 advantageous.
· Knowledge and level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages required
Basic PC skills.
· Minimum post qualification time and experience necessary to become fully proficient in the role
1 yrs experience in a competitive, customer focused sales or business environment either on telesales or in a face to face selling role
