Our clients business was founded 1993 with a small team of three. Today, with the three original directors still very much working hard with their ‘hands-on’ involvement, Through steady growth and expansion, their business has become a sizeable concern owning premises of over 7,000 square foot with a dedicated team of over 50 employees.
Situated in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, the office and warehouse is ideally located to service London and the South East.
The Person:
You will have experience in managing major electrical projects or managing an electrical contracting business in a similar senior position. Time served with a practical background and onsite experience you will have covered all aspects of the trade. You will be capable of taking the overall responsibility of projects from the initial enquiry to completion and hand over. This will include domestic, commercial and industrial installs.
You will require excellent communication skills, a positive and professional attitude and a willingness to play a central role in the continuing growth of the company.
The ideal candidate will be in commutable distance to our clients offices in Amersham.
Applicants experienced in the following areas:
· Preparation of accurate tenders. An advantage but not essential.
· Subsequent liaison with clients to contract stage.
· Management of materials, suppliers and specialist contractors.
· To win and deliver projects to a high quality and safety standard whilst delivering tendered margin.
· Manage the survey, estimating and resource provision of our client.
- Possess a full clean driving license..
- Be educated to HNC or above in a related Building Services qualification with an electrical bias or have time-served experience.
- Have run projects/contracts over £400k in value.
- Be 17th edition qualified.
- Experience in design and estimating.
- Must be able to manage teams and plan resources.
- Capable of using latest Microsoft planning tools, excel, project etc
· Manage all contractual and commercial negotiations from tender to final account.
