Field Based Service Technician (Electrical) 17th Edition
Our client is market leader in the static inverter, central battery units and UPS sector. They are currently looking to recruit a Service technician (electrical bias) to join their existing team based in the South.
The majority of the work would involve inspection visits to their client’s premises. You would be responsible for inspecting static inverters and central battery units. These could be a variety of types (Chloride, Amberlec or Menvier or Coopers, Erskine etc.). You would be carrying out a system check and then isolating the mains, checking the batteries are OK etc. and then re-instating the mains and ensuring the batteries were re-charging correctly. You would also be required to deal with smaller call out jobs, single phase units, probably not much bigger than 20kVa.
If your skills are above this level, even better. We' be looking for at least a time served electrician, HNC electrical/electronic engineering, City & Guilds, with 17th edition. 2391 preferred but not essential.
Ideally based in the Birmingham (south) area, going down towards Gloucester. Our client already have cover for Scotland, the north of England and the midlands area, but require someone who could cover the midlands if needs be, but would be better placed to cover the central west area and going down and across as far as Bristol.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy to be on the road all the time and stay out pretty often.
Salary would be about the £20K mark, with some flexibility, given experience and skills base.
