We have an opportunity for an Electrical Tutor to join this established and expanding training provider.
You will have:
A minimum of 1 year teaching experience in the Electrician field either College or Private company.
Considerable experience on the tools prior to taking up a teaching career.
Professional, presentable, motivated, friendly, patient and approachable.
A traditional apprenticeship route into the industry is preferred.
Ideally you will have passed the following awards:
City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 or 2360 or similar
City and Guilds 2382
City and Guilds 2377-002 and 2377-001
City and Guilds 2392-10 or City and Guilds 2391-10
City and Guilds 2393 or a working knowledge
EAL DISQ Level 2 award.
You must have taught the City and Guilds subjects excluding 2393 which is fairly new. The EAL DISQ is not essential as if you’ve taught 2330 or 2360 and have passed 2392/2391 this subject matter will be straightforward.
A1 OR V1 assessor certificate or be working towards it at college.
A professional Teaching award is preferred although not essential.
You must have your own course delivery notes in prepared folders for most subjects, and to have these available for inspection prior to taking up any post.
Capable of demonstrating and assisting novices and tradesmen with hands on practical/testing exercises. Must be highly motivated, naturally you will enjoy teaching and obtain job satisfaction from seeing your class succeed.
I.T literate and familiar with City and Guilds ESM/GOLA examination operations.
